Is it for Me?
Maybe you aspire to work within the horse industry when you finish school? Maybe you wish to have a greater depth of knowledge, whilst achieving a nationally recognised certificate? Eastside is excited to introduce the Equi-Skills program.
In all cases successful completion of modules are registered with the EA coordinator, as they form part of the pathway towards accreditation and other higher qualifications.
Introduced by Equestrian NSW, Equi-Skills is a programme in which riders work towards nationally recognised achievement certificates. This program, run through Eastside, give attendees the opportunity to work through Introductory Riding and Introductory Horse Management workbooks at a discounted price. On enrolment, riders receive the workbooks and an Equi-Skills saddle patch.
The theory and practical components of Equi-Skills training are delivered in a group training environment; such as Junior Riding Club, term-based weekly training, and training intensive sessions during holiday periods. Where necessary, private training can also be arranged. Equi-skills members will work through the Riding and Horse Management workbooks, directed by a highly qualified and experienced coach.
