ALL RIDERS CENTENNIAL PARK RIDES CHILDREN’S RIDING Individual Private Lessons Eastside offer individual private tuition sessions that are suitable for all levels of riders, children and adults. A popular choice for adults who are starting to learn to ride or those who would like to brush up on their riding skills. Private tuition sessions are held 7 days a week with various session times and session types including general riding, flatwork and jumping by appointment. Whether you need to work on position, technique, confidence or the mechanics of riding, these sessions are also very beneficial for experienced riders (including riders with their own horses) as with riding and horses you never stop learning and we have a great team of instructors to help you improve all aspects of your riding. Centennial Park Rides Is there any better way to discover some of the most idyllic and charming parkland views that Sydney has to offer, than on horseback? All within approximately 15 minutes from the CBD! Like London and New York, Sydney is one of the few cities in the WORLD that are able to offer you horse riding within minutes from the bustling CBD! Hidden in the urban jungle, Centennial Park is home to a variety of flora and fauna which you may be fortunate enough to see on one of our unique dawn or dusk rides! Eastside Riding Academy is proud to offer you the opportunity of an escorted ride through the stunning 3.6km, tree lined path weaving through the majestic green landscape. All our horses are well educated allowing for the most comfortable and relaxing riding experience whilst being accompanied by our highly trained and friendly staff. Eastside will also provide you with all training and assistance prior to and throughout the ride to allow for all levels of rider. Riding boots and riding helmets are provided free of charge, all you need do is hop on and enjoy the ride! Pony Hire A great introduction to riding for beginner children. A pony hire is a fun ride for approx. half hour. This is the ideal first step into riding before taking lessons or a fun special treat for your child.
Junior Riding Club The Junior Rider Club (JRC) is a truly unique program designed for young riders that would not only like to learn how to ride and practice riding skills, but to learn more about the care and safe handling of horses and ponies. School Holiday Programs Our holiday programs are extremely popular, catering for the complete beginner to the aspiring competitor! Eastside Riding Academy is situated within the well appointed Centennial Parklands Equestrian Centre, approximately 10 - 15 minutes from the centre of Sydney. Within these safe confines you, or your children, can learn the basics of horse riding. For the more adventurous, Centennial Parklands is situated right next door with a 3.8 kilometre bridle path and gymkhana grounds for flatwork and jumping tuition.

Unless otherwise stated, all services are run for 1 hour. All riding includes mounting and dismounting time. All bookings are subject to 24 HOUR CANCELLATION POLICY Individual private tuition session with your experienced and friendly instructor - lessons will be tailored to cater for you or your child's particular riding interests and ability. These are primarily flatwork (dressage) lessons, jumping lessons are also available with prior notice. Approx. 1 hour (includes mounting / dismounting) Riding tuition session shared with one other rider.

Park rides consist of a circuit of Centennial Park (approximately 50 mins of riding). Groups will be kept small and we endeavour to keep similar riding abilities to ensure all have an enjoyable ride. Half hour riding lessons are designed with young riders needs in mind, as their muscles and attention spans find a whole hour tiring. 
Once the child is confidently riding for the whole half hour, we will suggest moving them into an after school group session or our popular Junior Rider Club. A great introduction to riding for beginner children. A fun ride for approx. half hour, this is the ideal first step into riding before taking lessons or a fun special treat for your child. Similar to the pony hire. Always a hit large groups of kids. A handler will bring the pony to the desired area in Centennial park. 1 pony per group of 15 - 20 children. The Junior Rider programs have received a makeover in 2007 and as a result is now in high demand. Each Saturday or Sunday for a 9 week term students enjoy a group lesson and horse care theory session. Your child can not only learn to ride, but basic care for horses and ponies too. Minimum 2 camps per holidays. Usually run on the Tuesday to Thursday during NSW school holidays. 2 rides per day with lots of theory and hands on fun in between rides. Love more of camp with NEW EXTENDED HOURS 9 am - 4 pm daily! Gift vouchers are an easy way to get a gift with a difference for someone special. Group and shared tuition sessions are held 7 days a week (after school & after work) with various session times and session types available, places are limited. These sessions can also work on position, technique, confidence or the mechanics of riding, these sessions are also very beneficial for experienced riders (including riders with their own horses). Eastside may recommend an individual private session prior to joining a group or shared session to serve as an assessment. Child Private Lesson (half hour) The perfect next step for beginner - intermediate child riders who are aiming for Junior Rider Club, Group Tuition Sessions or simply want to learn how to ride.
